i take a lot of photos of strangers and really have always preferred photographing people i don't know but my daughter has kind of changed all that.  i can't just take a "snapshot" of her making some childhood milestone.  i like to approach recording her life with the same thought that i would put into any documentary project.  there she is growing, learning and being imaginative...and i am just so amazed.

in the mood for spring

we've had incredible weather here on the east coast the last few days.  yesterday, juli and i took her daughter to the public library book sale. then we played in the yard and pretended it was spring!  today, i have a brunch and practice with my band.  is anyone else enjoying a nice weekend?

i don't have a bike (tragedy, i know) so maybe i should get a beach cruiser!  i could settle for these cruiser bike glasses from vital!  nothing better than a bike ride followed by a pint of your favorite beverage!

which is mine.  i share it with my fine daughter and two pups and sometimes two gerbils...and a mischievous $1 plastic dinosaur named "diney" who put toilet paper in the bath tub tonight, again!  by the way, laughing makes any discipline that should have happened entirely impossible.

i admired the little shoes kicked off just inside our back door today.  these belong to the feet of my ever-growing daughter who seems to have shoes spread about in every room of our house.  i think about those feet when they were so tiny and the only thing she would allow on them in those days were my kisses.  shoes and socks were almost always shed immediately.  and now, those feet march, stomp, jump, kick, run...and are growing up.  sigh.
